My Favourite Stuff of 2010: 2 x Top 5

It’s time for a short review of 2010: My favourite five posts (on this blog) and my favourite 5 new things (mostly gadgets) of the last year.

Top 5 Posts

Top 5 New Things

  • Twitter – In contrast to what I believed before, it’s more than “what I’ve just had for lunch”
  • iRobot Roomba – Now it’s fun to have the house vacuumed.
  • Apple TV – Check out my ‘impressions’
  • iPad – I would really miss it if I didn’t have one anymore
  • MacBook Pro 13 – my first Mac. I run Windows on it. Still don’t like MacOS, but Apple really does very nice hardware. This is by far the most stylish and well made notebook I’ve ever had. And if I compare it to the “professional line” notebooks I’ve had for work – the price is not so bad anymore.

Bonus item

Steam – I’ve had a Steam account before, but once I had accepted that I was forced to have a Steam account due to DRM, I realised that buying PC games digitally can be fun. For DRM schemes on the PC, I think this is as good as it gets. At least I can install games on my PC and my notebook.
